The main tasks of the Department of Legal Initiatives are:

 identification of existing problems in the legislation in cooperation with state authorities and management, representatives of legal practice, business entities and scientists, identification of current directions and tasks for improving legislation, as well as the formation and maintenance of an appropriate unified database;

coordinate plans for scientific and innovative work developed at the university, taking into account existing problems in legislation, current directions and tasks for improving legislation and make proposals to them; 

ensuring the execution of faculties, Departments and other structural divisions of the University of orders received from public authorities and management to improve legislation and give instructions in this regard; 

methodological guidance of faculties, departments and other structural divisions of the university in the development of proposals for improving legislation.
