International Cooperation Department

Our department is one of the youngest and most active divisions of the Tashkent State University of Law (hereinafter TSUL). We strive to further improve the quality of education at our university, collaborating with the world’s leading institutions of higher education, research centers and organizations, and promote student exchange.

Department of International Cooperation consists of following divisions:
1) Department of International Relations;
2) Department of Academic Mobility.

Goals of the Department of International Cooperation:

Main aims of the Department of International Relations:
establishment and development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation with leading universities in other countries, with international agencies, foundations, foreign and local organizations, as well as with international organizations;
practical assistance in the promotion and implementation of international and global initiatives in the field of education and research at TSUL by developing and supporting international cooperation, improving the outlook of TSUL students through international experience and helping them to create their own networking abroad;
providing quality programs and services for TSUL students and helping foreign students adapt to the university environment;
providing all the necessary information to students and constantly contributing to improving the efficiency of the information provided;
search for sources of funding and scholarships for academic and research work;
the most effective use of grants and financial privileges provided by such organizations as the “El-Yurt Umidi” Foundation, “Erasmus +”, USAID, KOICA, GIZ, DAAD, as well as other sponsoring institutions.

Main aims of the Academic Mobility Department:
coordination of international cooperation at the university level with foreign partners and research institutes;
directing and coordinating bilateral exchange programs and the participation of teachers in the “Erasmus +” “UNICEN”, “Fullbright” programs as well as in other similar programs, and provide comprehensive assistance in taking full advantage of these programs;
organization and management of academic mobility of students, doctoral students and teachers in educational, scientific and research programs, as well as ensuring the use of innovative tools in the academic exchange program;
increasing the level of academic exchange (within the framework of students, professors and other employees) of TSUL with partner universities;
mutual exchange of experience between partner universities;
development of joint projects aimed at improving the quality of academic mobility, ensuring safety and efficiency, as well as introducing new technologies and tools to support mobility;
advise the TSUL Council on actions that may affect the development of educational programs in Central Asia with components of academic mobility, in particular virtual and mixed mobility;
development of means of academic exchange: questionnaires, recommendations, negotiations and seminars, trainings, joint projects and other similar projects related to mobility;
advising students and teachers in the preparation and execution of documents for participation in the academic mobility program;
organizing and coordinating the activities of summer and winter schools.

Scope of international management cooperation:
Currently, partnerships have been established with leading educational and research institutions, research centers and international organizations around the world. These include the Representative Office of the NGO Regional Dialogue in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the International Training Center for Financial Monitoring, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Hague Conference on Private International Law, and the Center for the Development of Legal Clinics.
Today TSUL has been accepted as a full member of the International Association of Universities (IAU), the International Association of Law Schools (IALS) and the European Law Faculties Association (ELFA), the International Association universities (Observatory Magna Charta Universitatum) and the European Association of Institutions in Higher Education (EURASHE).
In addition, cooperation has been established with well-known foreign experts in the field of law, as well as with our compatriots living abroad. Our foreign specialists work not only in the educational process, but also in the Legal Clinic of TSUL.

Professors and students of our university are active participants in various events, competitions and olympiads organized by the Department of international relations of our department. Fortunately, in 2019, our university team won an international competition among law students.
