Issues of cooperation between TSUL and the University of Paris-Saclay were discussed

Tashkent State University of Law was visited by representatives of the University of Paris-Saclay.

The meeting organized in connection with this event was attended by the Vice-Rector of TSUL Dilshod Umarov, the Dean of the Faculty of Criminal Justice Dildora Kamalova, an employee of the Department for International Cooperation Bobur Uzakov, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Economics and the Management at the University of Paris-Saclay Boris Bernabe named after Jean Monnet, Professor of the Faculty, Julien Boudon.

At the beginning of the meeting, representatives of the two universities provided information about their educational institutions. The guests were acquainted with the activities of TSUL in the educational and scientific fields and the ongoing work in the field of international cooperation.

In turn, representatives of the University of Paris-Saclay provided detailed information on the ongoing work on teaching law at the university, educational and scientific activities, and international cooperation.

As part of the visit, organized to provide information on the implementation of joint educational programs on teaching European law and the opportunities of the University of Paris-Saclay in other areas, the issues of signing a memorandum of cooperation between universities, opening the Center for the Study of French Language and Law at TSUL, implementing joint educational programs, academic mobility programs for students and teachers, organizing an international symposium in English, inviting professors from the University of Paris-Saclay to teach at TSUL.

For reference: The University of Paris-Saclay (Université Paris-Saclay) was founded in 2019 with the participation of 10 major French universities, higher schools, and research institutes.

The University of Paris-Saclay operates mainly on the principle of education-research-production, and today 48,000 students study on 17 campuses of the university (12,000 in master's program, 4,500 in doctoral studies). 42 percent of them are international students.

The university has 10 undergraduate programs, 67 master's programs and 21 doctoral studies in biotechnology, agriculture, medicine, pharmacy, exact sciences, law and social and human sciences, engineering, and information technology, in about 300 research centers at the institution (13 percent of the research potential of France) employs about 15,000 researchers. To date, 2 Nobel Prize winners are graduates of the University of Paris-Saclay.

Graduates of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Management of the University of Paris-Saclay receive a specialty in the direction of Law and Innovation. There are programs in the Master's program in Digital Law and Intellectual Property Law, Health Law, Aerospace Law, Private and Public Law, International Public and European Law, International and European Law, Diplomacy, and strategic negotiations.
