The specialized branch of Tashkent State University of Law

The specialized branch of Tashkent State University of Law was created in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 7, 2019 PP-4166 "On additional measures to improve the training system in the field of crime prevention and public safety."

The main tasks of the Branch:

training and retraining of personnel in the field of crime prevention and public safety on the basis of curricula and programs that provide basic and practical professional training in the field of jurisprudence;

organization of the educational process on the basis of a modular training system using modern forms and methods, information and communication technologies, aimed at ensuring a close connection between theoretical training and law enforcement;

creation of an effective system of psychological training, improving the legal, political culture, and legal consciousness of students;

improving the skills of students to work and interact with the society and the media;

methodological and advisory support for crime prevention and public safety;

deepening effective interdepartmental interaction with educational and research institutions, including foreign countries, providing training, retraining, and advanced training of legal personnel.

The branch is a structural subdivision of Tashkent State University of Law - a higher educational institution with the status of a legal entity.

the director of the Branch is equal to the Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the deputy directors are equal to the vice-rector of  Tashkent State University of Law.

Training of legal personnel in the profile specialty “crime prevention and public safety” at the Branch is carried out according to a special three-year full-time bachelor's program with the issuance of a standard diploma.

Retraining of personnel with higher non-legal education in the specialty "crime prevention and public safety" in the Branch is carried out according to a special six-month full-time study program with the issuance of a diploma of the established sample.

Training at Branch is carried out on the basis of state grants.

The quota for admission to the undergraduate program of the Branch is 255 people per year, and according to the retraining program - 50 people every six month 

The presence of the Branch's diploma is the basis for admission to service in the internal enforcement bodies without passing special professional training at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the assignment of a special rank of "lieutenant".

Admission to Branch under the bachelor's program is carried out on a competitive basis.

On the basis of the recommendations of the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Commander of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan, acting employees and military personnel with higher non-legal education are accepted for training under the retraining program at the Branch on the basis of the recommendations of the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Commander of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan, retaining their positions and payment of monetary allowances in the prescribed manner.

Assistants of preventive inspectors for the protection of public order in the city of Tashkent and Tashkent region, who have made a worthy contribution to the prevention of offenses and the fight against crime, maybe given recommendations from the heads of the main departments of internal affairs of the city of Tashkent and Tashkent region, giving them the right to participate in the competition for admission to Branch for individual quotas determined by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan within the established admission quota.

Students who graduated from the Branch undertake to work in the system of crime prevention and public safety in the city of Tashkent and Tashkent region for at least 5 years.
