Presentation of the edition of the Constitution of the Republic of India in the Uzbek language took place

The Constitution of the Republic of India was translated into Uzbek by the teachers of Tashkent State University of Law.

The presentation of the publication took place in the Information Resource Center of TSUL.

The ceremony was attended by Akmal Saidov, the First Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Director of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Law, Professor, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Islambek Rustambekov, Acting Rector of the TSUL, Doctor of Law, Professor, Manish Prabhat, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan, well-known scientists, teachers, students.

The conference noted that the constitutional experience of India has a rich history and this experience should be used in today's constitutional reforms. Because in the drafting of the Constitution of India, a number of constitutions of the world were comparatively studied and they were positively used. Due to the careful approach to the content of legal institutions and the careful design of their structure, the Constitution of India serves as a model for the constitutions of many foreign countries.

In particular, the Constitution of India defines its supremacy, republican, democratic form of government, the secular nature of the state, the principle of separation of powers, the freedom and dignity of the individual, the unity and integrity of the nation, the concept of social and economic justice, the foundations of free and fair elections, they are also the main principles today's new version of the Constitution.

The event also noted that the publication is intended for future lawyers, the study of the constitutional law of India along with the constitutional law of other countries and its comparison with the experience of Uzbekistan will open up new horizons of legal thinking for young people.

As noted, the first edition of the Constitution of India in the Uzbek language marks the beginning of a large-scale work of scientists of the two countries and opens wide doors for new projects and joint work.

During the ceremony, information about the authors of the translated edition was also provided. It is noted that the first translation of the Constitution of India was carried out thanks to the work and unceasing two-year work of Omonulla Mukhamedzhanov, the project leader, Doctor of Law, Professor, organizer of the translation work, Nodir Ramazonov, head of the group of translators and translators Odilbek Iriskulov, Makhbuba Rasulova, Nozima Normurodova.

Besides, special thanks are expressed to the Embassy of India in Uzbekistan, which supported the project from the financial and scientific side, in particular, to Manish Prabhat, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Uzbekistan, Sitesh Kumar, head of the Lal Bahadur Shastri Center for Indian Culture, who served as a unique bridge in establishing contact between TSUL scientists and translators and experts from the University of Delhi, as well as TSUL students Abdurahim Rakhmonkulov, Sobir Tangirov, Gulkhayo Pardabayeva, Maftune Oltiyeva, Holishon Umarova, Khosiyathon Nizomova, Utkirbek Rivojiddinov, Kamola Polvonova, Makhbuba Saifullaeva and Otakhon Anvarkhanov, who participated in the work as volunteers for translation and technical editing.
