National Competition Announced for Innovative Initiatives in Human Rights, Gender Equality and Digital Inclusion

The National Human Rights Centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with relevant ministries and agencies, has announced a national competition for innovative initiatives entitled “Human Rights Education for Children and Youth: Gender Equality, Climate Change and Digital Inclusion.”

The competition is held pursuant to Resolution No. 91 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 3 March 2026, “On Measures to Implement the Fifth Phase of the World Programme for Human Rights Education in the Republic of Uzbekistan.”

The competition aims to promote human rights education among children and young people, raise awareness of gender equality, climate change and digital inclusion, and support outstanding initiatives and creative projects in these areas.

Anyone under the age of 30 is eligible to participate.

The competition features the following categories:

Best Educational Course — separate categories for preschool education, schools, colleges and lyceums, higher education, and postgraduate education.

Best Drawing — creative works on the theme “Gender Equality, Climate Change and Digital Inclusion Through the Eyes of Children.”

Best Video — videos addressing gender equality, climate change and digital inclusion.

Best Educational Publication — educational materials in print and electronic formats.

Best Article — separate categories for academic and popular science articles.

Best Knowledge Expert — participants demonstrating their knowledge of gender equality, climate change and digital inclusion.

Best Innovative Idea — initiatives proposing innovative solutions to pressing challenges.

Those wishing to participate in the national competition must submit an application using the prescribed form, a copy of an identity document, the required photographs, and their competition entries in electronic format by 15 November.
