Discussion was held on the establishment of an AI-based legal services center
Representatives of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) — Director of the Uzbekistan Office Mr. Shin Myung Seop and Head of the Research Group Mr. Lee Wonjae — paid an official visit to Tashkent State University of Law.
The meeting was attended by the Acting Rector of TSUL, Professor Islambek Rustambekov, as well as other responsible officials of the university.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a project worth 14.5 million USD, titled “Establishment of an AI-Based Legal Services Environment and Organization of the Korea-Uzbek Digital Legal Center.”
It was noted that the implementation of the project, scheduled to begin in 2026, envisions the introduction of advanced artificial intelligence technologies into the legal sector, the judicial system, and the education sphere of Uzbekistan. Furthermore, the project provides for the creation of a digital environment for legal services, automation of legal expertise, and the development of AI-driven legal analysis systems.
